Junior Development Engineer (m/f/d)


As a Junior Development Engineer, you will first get to know the entire process chain of EpiWafer production. You will assist experienced colleagues in planning, conducting and evaluating experiments, get involved in process development and get to know project partners and internal processes. After this initial training, a focus area will be selected depending on your personal skills and preferences, in which you will then work in depth with specialists on process development and optimization. Possible focus areas include wet chemistry, electrochemistry, epitaxy, detachment, laser processes and characterization of semiconductor materials.

Furthermore, documentation, quality assurance and process control will accompany you throughout your work


  • Completed studies in engineering or natural sciences, e.g. physics, chemistry, materials science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of one of the following topics: wet chemical etching of silicon, electrochemical etching, CVD deposition, characterization of semiconductors, design, electrical engineering, laser processes
  • Very good analytical skills and fast comprehension of complex topics
  • Independent and careful way of working
  • Willingness to deal with new topics or problems
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and committed team of a ‚ÄúStart Up
  • Good teamwork and communication skills


  • Support in optimizing the overall process chain by coordinating the individual processes with each other
  • Support of process development of individual process steps
  • Support in the planning, execution and evaluation of test series
  • Scientific work with focus on process development
  • Supporting quality assurance during process development and production
  • Cooperation with external partners within the framework of projects
  • Operation of process and characterization equipment for troubleshooting or in case of substitution
  • Establishing and improving routines for production campaigns and experiments
  • Guidance of operators, helpers, students etc.
