YOUR ROLE
As a hardware development engineer, you are a part of the engineering and development team. You support the technology teams not only in designing the components and assemblies for new equipment, but also in the optimization of the existing equipment. You ensure that technical requirements are translated from development to constructive designs. In this position you will also interact closely with the process team to understand what aspects of tool design can be adapted to improve overall process performance.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Proven skills in problem solving with innovative and systematic thinking
- Basic knowledge of root cause analysis techniques like 5Whys , 8M or TRIZ
- Practical experience with CAD modelling, preferably Inventor
- Experience with system Engineering
- Experience with thermal and fluid flow simulations
- Able to work independently on multiple projects
- Team player, fast learner, structured approach and open to new ideas
- Motivated to work in a dynamic and committed team of a “Start-Up”
- Good written and oral communication in German and English
YOUR TASKS
- Design and develop concepts of complex mechanical components and assemblies based on the requirements/specifications
- Design to detailing & documentation with minimal supervision
- Prepare and present reports/ presentations that communicate design intent, analysis at technical discussions
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure hardware designs meet overall product specifications
- Optimize the equipment for the required quality, throughput and uptime
